UPDATED: May 24, 2008
Welcome to the 1st SpecwarGear.com
update in 2008. First of all, as we all know, this week is the Memorial Day
week. This is the day we "Remember those who
served".
If public opinion surveys are accurate, most Americans don't know much about
Memorial Day's purpose or history. That's a pity because it removes an important
bond with those brave men, and women, who have given their lives in our Nation's
service.
Memorial Day should be a time of solemn reflection on some of the most sacred of
human ideals: Faith, family, duty, commitment, heroism and honor. We are so
profoundly indebted to all those soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen who have
given their lives defending us. A few years ago Congress passed the National
Moment of Remembrance Act. It asked Americans to pause for one minute at 3:00
p.m. local time and think about those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. It
may seem like a small gesture, but it's a way to, however briefly, keep faith
with those heroes and maintain a tradition worth keeping.
To show your support,
please also don't forget to:
• Put flags or
flowers on the graves of men and women who served in
wars.
• Fly the U.S. flag at half-staff until noon.
• Visit monuments dedicated to soldiers, sailors and
marines.
• Participate in a National Moment of Remembrance at 3
p.m. local time.
• March in a parade.
Back to our SWG update,
we created two exclusive Gear X files that introduce the various helmets used by the
US Special Forces from 1980s to present time. It took us
3 months to prepare all the pictures and finish the write ups. It is quite tough. There are
so many rare helmets, such as IBH, HALO and Military Motorcycle Helmets. Special thanks
to all the Helmet Manufacturers, Tactical Companies, Operators, and Readers
who help us in these two webpages. Greatly appreciated. You will not
disappointed about the contents !
Be sure to check
the wanted pages. We are looking for some gear and info for the next update.
Due to tons of junks E-mails,
it may take a while for us to get back to you. We are sorry for the
inconvenience. Sorry
folks, we are still running out website space, we have taken out many collector
corner pictures. We are currently unable to add new collector pictures.
We want
to extend our best wishes to all our readers, and especially GODSPEED, GOOD LUCK
AND BEST
WISHES TO ALL OUR TROOPS OVERSEAS! THANK YOU ALL FOR
PROTECTING FREEDOM AND BLESS ALL OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES, THANK YOU ALL!
