We have received many questions about the different versions of Ranger Body Armor (both from operators and collectors). To our best understanding, we create this webpage and show all RBA versions that we have seen. Special thanks to the readers who provides us with the pictures.

RBA-Original Features: 1) Velcro closure at the shoulder. 2) Elastic closure at the abdomen. 3) External front armor plate pocket. 4) Armor plate with upper right comer cut. |

RBA-Current Issued Features: 1) Similar to the original RBA. 2) External rear armor plate pocket, opening at the bottom (for quick release of the armor plate in emergency).

RBA-Velcro-Corner Cut Features: 1) Similar as the above. 2) Armor plate with upper right corner cut.

RBA-75th Ranger Features: 1) Special RBA built for the US Army 75th Ranger. 2) Additional utility pouch on the front armor plate pocket. 3) Additional shoulder fixation straps with snaps: to reinforce the shoulder closure. 3) Velcro at the abdomen fixation strap.

RBA Chest Magazine Holder-Woodland Features: 1) RBA magazine holder, for four M16 magazines. 2) Pouch stays inside the abdomen fixation straps, fixed and secured by Velcro. 3) Constructed by Cordura material.

RBA-Chest Magazine Holder-Olive Drab Features: 1) Similar as the above 2) Black elastic to secure magazines. 3) Constructed by canvas material.
