Description
Our first book focuses on the most advanced helmet system of the 1990s: The Integrated Ballistic Helmet (IBH). This iconic helmet is a lightweight and modular system that Special Forces adapted to many different mission profiles.
The IBH provides ballistic protection of small arms and fragmentation as it’s primary function as a protective helmet but with its scalable ability and specialized components it found great utility in communications and situational awareness.
The IBH sported a specifically designed hearing protection unit with an ambient sound system, removable ear cups and dual simultaneous radio communication. The design of the IBH allowed capability with various gas masks, parachute gear, and night vision equipment.
We are excited to showcase the variety of use and configuration of mission specific gear with multiple exotic builds.
Packed with 20 pages of detailed full color pictures with information about each set up, this invaluable reference will surely impress any collector or enthusiast.
The sale of this book will be used to fund the SPECWARGEAR.COM Museum. It will allow us continue the museum’s mission of excellence in collecting, exhibiting, preserving, conserving, interpreting precious artifacts, and providing an inspiring experience for visitors of all ages.
