Description
TP-1E Body Armor
TP-1E body armor was manufactured by Armour of America in the late 1980s to 1990s. It is one of the iconic body armors worn by the U.S. Navy SEALs in the late 1980s to mid-1990s and served in Desert Storm.
TP-1E body armor provides ballistic protection from neck to coccyx. It features front and back pockets for curved hard armor plates of different protection levels. TP-1E body armor has adjustable shoulder straps and double Velcro overlapping closure from both sides. The armor was often spotted at VBSS operations and CQB training.
The TP-1E armor featured here is made in the mid-1990s and has a Nylon carrier. Early TP-1E armor has a Nomex cloth carrier which appears “purple-black” in photos. We will introduce the Nomex TP-1E in the near future.
