FSBE

MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. (April 14) -- A better, safer and easier to use personal battle equipment system has been created for Marine reconnaissance units. The Full Spectrum Battle Equipment (FSBE) replaces the previously-used system with many improvements which make movement underwater easier for Marines.

In year 2001, the 26th MEU/ 2nd force recon had a wonderful public demonstration during the fleet week, in NYC. We were very lucky as we were able to talk to many operators and took a lot of pictures. Now...It is the time to share these exciting moments with you. You are able to see the latest gear of our modern Marines!

Head Protection

The head of the soldier is well protected by ballistic helmet, ballistic goggles, and fire-resistant hood. 

FSBE Body Armor

Pictures shows the FSBE body armor of the Marines. The body armor accepts various MOLLE pouches. 

MEU Life Vest

A life vest is worn under the body armor. 

Harness

Rappelling harness and the SPIE harness.

Pistol and knife

The famous MEU SOC pistol and a combat knife. 

Weapons

These Marines are armed with deadly weapons. M4 carbine, M249 SAW, and the AT4 anti-tank launcher!!
