Military Backpack
Kifaru military backpack is probably the best military backpack so far. As per Mr. Smith, the President of Kifaru, Modular and Multifunctional is a slogan around here. As for packs, specifically, Kifaru insist on being the very best at providing these four functions: comfort, stability, versatility and durability.
Start from Mountainsmith brand, Mr. Smith has been in backpack business for 25 years. Teaming up with Mr. Mel Terkla, Kifaru launched their Military Gear Division in June of 2002.
I have been hearing good things about Kifaru backpacks for a long time. In 2005, we finally have a chance to check their products and we are very lucky meet Mr. Smith and Mel personally. These two guys are really backpack professionals.
I have seen many great packs in the past, e.g. LBT, Eagles, Gregory, and etc. These Kifaru packs rock! The packs have many add-on features and optional accessories which user can customize the pack for specific needs. To find out all the features, you really need to study the "thick" manual" before you can 100% understand and "correctly" use it. You may probably learn a lot and being inspired by reading the manual. Full of surprise indeed !
Design is great, and the material is super. All US mil-spec material, 1000 denier cordura, Drilex, ITW hardware, Coolmax, and etc. Workmanship is top of the line. Period.
From big rug to small bag, from simple to complicated design, I will say Kifaru has built the very best US military backpacks !
